AbstractThis work describes a methodology to evaluate the spectral resolution of the spectroradiometer Spectron SE-590. The waveband checking of the SE-590 was performed by Material and Sensors Laboratory at INPE, using a grating monochromator model 7240. In the spectral range between 400 and 700nm the monochromator was ajusted for a waveband range of 6.2nm, while in the spectral range between 700 and 1100nm a waveband range of 12.4nm was used. Differences among spectral detector heads from the SE-590 were observed. Therefore, it is recomended to have a reference calibrated detector head in order to correct for errors in the BRF that appear while using uncalibrated spectral detector head(s)in field works.
